From February 24–26, 2025, the International Conference on Injection Moulding of Metals, Ceramics and Carbides (MIM2025) took place in Costa Mesa, California, USA, gathering leading scientists, engineers, and industry representatives from around the world to discuss the latest innovations in powder injection molding (PIM) technology.

The AERORECORD project was represented by Gemma Herranz, the project’s IP, and Álvaro García, who contributed two presentations highlighting the project’s advancements in high-performance materials and manufacturing.

The first talk, titled “Elevating Aerospace Materials: Powder Injection Molding of Graphene-Reinforced Components,” explored the integration of graphene into ceramic and metallic matrices to enhance the mechanical and thermal properties of aerospace materials.

The second presentation, “From CISP to DYPAM & BLESOL TECH: The Journey of MIM from Spain’s First Doctoral Thesis to Industrial Innovation,” traced the evolution of PIM research and its transformation into a thriving industrial activity, underscoring Spain’s growing contribution to the global MIM community.

Participation in MIM2025, one of the most internationally recognized events in the field, provided an exceptional platform to share the project’s progress and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry on an international scale.
