From September 14–18, 2025, the European Congress and Exhibition on Advanced Materials and Processes (EUROMAT2025) took place in Granada, Spain, bringing together more than 1,500 researchers, engineers, and industry experts from across Europe and beyond to discuss the latest developments in materials science and technology.
The AERORECORD project was represented by Javier Hidalgo and Álvaro García who presented the talk “Thermal Shock-Resistant Cordierite Ceramics: A Breakthrough for Aerospace Optics.” The presentation highlighted recent progress in developing lightweight ceramic materials with exceptional thermal resistance, a key property for components used in demanding aerospace environments.
In addition to this presentation, the team showcased other research lines from their group, contributing to discussions on advanced ceramics, composites, and additive manufacturing processes.
Participation in EUROMAT2025, one of Europe’s largest and most prestigious events in the field of materials science, provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate the project’s results and strengthen its visibility within the international research community.
